أعلنت جوجل عن توافر النسخة الأحدث من برنامج Picasa 3.6 لتنظيم وتعديل ومشاركة الصور، وأضافت جوجل تقنية Name tags لتنظيم الصور بإسم معين إضافة الي صورة صغيرة بجانب الإسم لتعبر عن المحتوي ،كما قدمت خدمة Collaborative albums لإضافة وتعديل الألبومات الخاصة بأصدقائك وخدمة Geotag your photos لوضع صورة خاصة بك لموقعك الجغرافي أو الموقع الذي تحبه في خرائط جوجل،كما أضافت ميزة المشاركة ورفع واستيراد الصور في آن واحد.
يعمل الإصدار الجديد Picasa 3.6 علي ويندوز اكس بي وويندوز7 وماك وتتأخر جوجل كالعادة في تقديم نسخة لأصحاب نظام تشغيل لينكس ،برنامج بيكاسا ممتاز في تقديم خدمات الرفع والمشاركة للصور والتأثيرات المضافة للصور به لا بأس بها،لكن هل يعتمد عليه أم انك تفضل نظام الرفع التقليدي للصور؟
